I woke up Friday morning to a snowstorm in NYC! The ground was covered in beautiful, white, powdery snow. I instantly felt like a child again. My heart was racing. What was I going to do with my free fun day? There’s only so much eating and shopping you can do in NYC, and while I love doing both, I wanted this day to be fun and adventurous. I grabbed my coat, and headed out to play in snowy Central Park.
I needed to stay bundled for the frigid temperatures, so I wore my favorite, navy puffer coat by Zara, red jeans, and plaid rain boots. Even though the bundles and layers of clothing aren’t always fun, there are so many great winter accessories to make your layered look feel stylish. I love my plaid rain boots. The pattern adds a pop of color to my solid, navy coat. I wore a gold, chevron scarf, navy gloves, and furry, brown ear muffs with a metallic, gold band. The whole outfit felt cozy, and fun.
Next time you bundle up, remember to choose a scarf with a pop of color, shimmery gloves or printed boots. Just make sure that the whole look is balanced. The winter cold doesn’t need to be depressing. Remember the years spent as a kid, when every day was an adventure? Grab a sled, pull on your brightest boots, make a cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the winter wonderland. Don’t forget to accessorize!
