As we count down to 2014, you may be searching for the perfect outfit to wear to your parties and festivities. I’m a beads and sequins girl, so always it’s always fun to add a bit of sparkle to my holiday ensemble. The look I’ve put together includes the beaded, Yumi Kim Ana skirt, a black bodysuit (yes, really), blazer, and black patent Christian Louboutin pumps.
I’ve accessorized with a studded clutch, a pearl necklace, and the Crystal Vermeil Earrings I designed. The blazer adds an element of sophistication, which can always be removed once you arrive at your party. I always layer my outfits, so I feel appropriate and comfortable at any event.
There are many ways to incorporate sparkle into your holiday ensemble. You could pair black jeans with a beaded top and a great jacket, or you could choose a black sequined dress, with a short fur trimmed cardigan. You could even stick with a simple red dress, and add necklaces for a touch of glamour. Whatever it is, make the look yours and celebrate in style.
As 2013 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the past year. Last year my resolution was to dream bigger. I’m proud to have launched Sleepless in Sequins. The blog has inspired me to expand my jewelry collection, collaborate with designers, and meet incredible people in the fashion industry.
As the New Year approaches, I challenge you to tackle your own dreams. Pick something something you’ve always wanted and go for it. Cheers to 2014! I hope to inspire, encourage, stylize, and create a beautiful new YOU both inside and out.
