We recently took a quick trip to Vegas on vaca, and I was beyond excited. The summer sunshine was calling my name. Since we traveled right before Memorial Day weekend, the temps still weren’t warm in New York. We always want what we can’t have, right? Exactly.
During my packing expedition, I was on a mad search for the perfect swimsuit. Enter, Coco Reef Swimwear. With an incredible collection of swimsuits, and cover-ups, I hardly knew where to start. The styles were beautiful, and I was immediately drawn to the printed swimsuits. I chose the Congo Flower Five Way Bra, along with Congo Flower Skinny Dip Bottom. I fell in love with the floral color burst of the print. It can be tricky to know which swimsuit works best for you, so I generally stick with the same silhouette. I’ll admit that I rarely shop online. I manage to always have issues with fit; however this swimsuit was perfect and no adjustments were needed. The amazing part about the top is that it converts into 5 different styles. You can choose to wear it differently each time. I wore mine simple and strapless, in order to let the print shine. I loved having options though.
While lunching by the pool, I wore Coco Reef’s Wonderland Take Me Anywhere Cover-Up Dress. This simple, little beach dress was easy, breezy, and also had a gorgeous print. After hours spent by the pool, I always feel a little disheveled. Call it a combination of the sunscreen, the chlorine, or maybe the occasional margarita. However, once I stepped into this fancy number, I instantly felt put together again. The colors in the print gave me so many options to accessorize too.
I chose a Printed Tote Bag by Steve Madden, and mirrored aviators by Ray Ban, to bring out the blue in both the swimsuit and the cover-up. I always try to choose my accessories, based on an accent color within my ensemble. This way, you are complimenting your wardrobe with accessories, instead of overpowering it. I designed a few colorful bracelets to finish my look (similar here).
I love the sun way too much, so I make sure I lather up with sunscreen at all times. I recently bought Tarte Cosmetics’, Tarteguard SPF 30 sunscreen lotion. The bottle is small, and easily fits in any bag. I’m a sucker for packaging, and of course I fell in love with the magenta bottle as well.
