Maxi Dress Moments For A Night in Maui Paradise

September 28, 2015

“Congratulations! You look beautiful!” “Oh! Thank you. I’m not getting married. I just really love the dress.” It happens to me all the time. As you know, I have a thing for white dresses and our trip to Maui seemed like the perfect time to sport the last of my favorites for the season. I found this beauty in the racks of a million gorgeous pieces at the Lulu’s Style Studio event, during New York Fashion Week. We were able to choose whichever outfit we liked best, and a few of my blogger babes were with me to approve my decision. I loved the combination of the creme lace, along with the long chiffon fabric that draped to the ground. The fabric moved beautifully, and I knew this piece would be a stunner, when we photographed it on the beach.

We are currently staying at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort in Maui at Wailea. It is hands down the most gorgeous resort I’ve stayed at in my life. We checked out the resort, and with a few fabulous recommendations from good friends, we decided it was the perfect destination to celebrate our 3rd anniversary. Our honeymoon was also in Maui a few years ago, however we spent time in Kapalua, so this is a change of scene for us. Walking into the resort feels like a dream. The decor is perfection and the hotel staff is incredible. The hotel has a grand, luxurious feel, but they definitely still keep the island vibe. Upon entering the resort, and exhausted from our 10 hour plane ride, we were offered beautiful, purple orchid leis, tropical drinks, and cooling towels. Next we explored the property and were immediately drawn to the pools, complete with breathtaking fountains. The tiki torches burned bright around us, and cast a reflective glow upon the water. From the pools, we walked out to the beach and listened to the waves crash upon the shore. The sky was dark and the stars twinkled above us. This is such a simple thing that I miss so much, but I never get to see stars in New York, so I’m taking time to soak up these nighttime moments.

After playing and shooting photos on the beach that evening, we dined at an amazing Italian restaurant, Ferraro’s which sits above the beach. With live music, amazing food, and an incredible atmosphere, the restaurant quickly became my favorite at the resort. We listened to a band play live music as we sipped champagne, with a view of the beach. After dinner we dipped our feet in the jacuzzi, sitting near the fountains above the pool. This was definitely my favorite evening.

I’m currently sitting on a lounge chair, from our beautiful one bedroom suite, writing this post. It over looks floral gardens, fountains and the ocean. I feel at peace here, and so calm compared to the rush of New York City. We left after the close of New York Fashion Week, and it was so much fun, but chaotic as well. The timing on our getaway was perfect. I spoke to a friend of mine before I left, who told me something so meaningful. Her words really resonated with me. She said, it’s important to work hard in your life, and be successful, however never forget to actually live your life. Make sure to seek adventure and experience life at its fullest, otherwise why work so hard? Life is short. It’s truly important to cherish each moment as much as you can. Of course life isn’t sunshine and roses at all times, but pencil in times for fun, whether they are big or small.

Vacationing in Maui at the Four Seasons resort may seem like a splurge, and we decided to do it because this heavenly place makes life worth living. The air smells sweet here, the food tastes fresh, the people are amazing, and the ambiance is out of this world. I know it’s fall back in New York, and I’m just not ready for it. If I could stay here everyday of my life, I would. If you are planning a trip for the upcoming fall or holiday season, and you are looking for the getaway of a lifetime, look no further. I guarantee the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, is the most incredible option. We’ve loved every moment in this tropical paradise, and I know you will too. If you have any questions, or need any recommendations, I’d be happy to help. Feel free to email me. Wishing you and amazing week, beauties and stay tuned for our upcoming posts from the rainbow state. Mahalo! xx
