It’s about time to ring in the New Year, Beauties! The biggest question on our minds? Where will we celebrate, and what on earth shall we wear? Decisions, decisions. I don’t know about you, but my New Year’s Eve plans are always spontaneous. Of course, I have been dreaming of the perfect dress. Inspired by a fabulous, crystallized, Rhinestone Mask that I found at Bebe, I created an entire look for a New Years Eve Masquerade Ball. The mask is absolutely perfect for the occasion. I love the dramatic look of it.
I went on a search, for the perfect ball gown, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a challenge. There are a million beautiful gowns out there, but to find one that has an incredible fit, and the look that I wanted, took me a while. The best advice I have for you, is to know what silhouettes fit you the best, and to stick with the brands which you have previously had success. Most likely, if a style fits you well from a certain brand, you’ll also have luck with several of their other styles. I stick to this rule, when I’m in a pinch, and I’m usually successful.
The dress that stole my heart was the Evette Sleeveless Deep V-Neck Gown in Fern Green. The gown is covered in deep green sequins, embellished onto a floral lace. It is slimming and sophisticated. The deep V neckline, has a mesh overlay which makes for a dramatic look. With my body type, I often choose styles with cut out necklines, because I’m smaller on top. I choose to accentuate this part of my body with styles that are flattering to me. I would recommend you to do the same. What do you love about yourself? Choose a style that draws attention to your best assets, and you’ll feel beautiful and confident in whatever you choose. Confidence is key. I love the deep green color of this gown for holiday. The style, also comes in Black, which is gorgeous as well.
I accessorized my look with the crystalized mask from Bebe, jet black, drop earrings (similar here), and a crystal and emerald encrusted bracelet from BaubleBar. The black, Satin Bow Clutch is by Jessica McClintock, and comes in multiple colors. My dream New Year’s Eve plans are obviously a fancy masquerade ball. I’ll keep you posted on our evening’s selected soiree.
To properly feature this gorgeous gown, we knew we wanted the photos to be shot in an editorial style. We chose one of our favorite places, Tavern on the Green, as one of the locations for this shoot. We loved the look of the glimmering lights in the background, and the grand look of the restaurant. If you are in NYC over the holidays, we highly recommend this fabulous spot for brunch, dinner, or cocktails. It is a famous city landmark had has “classic” New York feel.
