April showers finally brought May flowers, as promised. While I wish I had a lovely garden in my backyard, or even just a backyard for that matter, I don’t. Living in NYC means highrises and apartment living, so I borrow Central Park, and call it my own backyard from time to time. It does feel that way, for as much time as we spend there. This past weekend was no different.
It was the first weekend in New York, that the trees were shades of green, and people were out and about, enjoying the sunshine. Spring just brings out the best in people, doesn’t it? It definitely does for me. So many places to go. So many people to see. Rooftop events, garden parties, wedding season…you name it. But, what will you wear?
Let me help you with that! As you know, Ted Baker is one of my favorite brands. I love just about every piece that that they have. I stumbled upon this floral bodycon dress (similar here), and it was love at first sight. The print is perfect, and I love that the colors within the dress are transitional. Since the base of the print is black, I can wear this piece in the fall, or into the spring and summer. It’s appropriate for both seasons. The best part is that you can change up the accessories for a more seasonal look. I added hot pink shoes to brighten up the look for spring. You can do the same with a fun evening bag. For Fall, I could pair this look with black patent leather pumps and a black bag. There are so many options to elevate your style using accessories. I wore my favorite, Furla shoulder bag, and added crystal drop earrings to complete my look.
Are you heading to any fancy spring soirées in the near future? If so, make sure to check out the Ted Baker collection, to add some garden party glam to your spring wardrobe. Wishing you a sunny, spring week from NYC. xx
