What do you pack for an epic adventure on Royal Caribbean’s fancy new ship? I had no idea. I was mind boggled, and entirely overwhelmed with every activity and excursion planned for the trip. Add the Fall theme, but 70 degree New York temps into the mix, and my fall packing plans were thrown for a loop. I hope you read up on my previous posts, chatting about our fancy trip aboard Anthem of the Seas. If not, you can play catch up, here.
My first thoughts for packing for a trip, are always my evening ensembles. I know, #priorities, right? I can’t help it. I love planning party outfits and I always have. I found a sleek, black sequined dress (similar here) with a simple silhouette. It caught my eye, and I couldn’t walk away. I also loved that it had an accent of black velvet throughout the dress, which is definitely on trend for the season. Of course the sequined dress is the very first outfit I planned, because it was obviously the most important. I accessorized the dress with Christian Louboutin Bianca Pumps, crystal, chandelier earrings (similar here), and a black envelope clutch (similar here). You could also add a black, leather moto jacket to keep the look casual, or add a faux fur jacket for the winter months.
I wore the sequined beauty for our second night on the ship. I wanted to save the best outfit for last. I will share a vacation styling secret with you (shh…don’t tell). I generally tend to wear my fitted, ensembles the first few days of a trip. I know it sounds crazy, but after a few days of fancy cocktails and fun food, I don’t always feel my best. It is important to feel fabulous in the outfits you choose. Keep this little trick in mind for the holiday season. I did however break the rule this trip since it was a short one, and I felt great in the sequins.
We stopped by the Anthem of the Seas Music Hall which definitely had my favorite decor, complete with fancy couches, crystal chandeliers, red velvet walls, and a winding staircase. It felt completely luxurious and I loved it. The look of the room worked perfectly with my sequins, and we shot several photos there.
We met up with the group of our blogger friends to dine at the American Icon Grill, which was delicious. After dinner, we stopped at the casino for cocktails, and gambling. No gambling for me though. I’d rather spend the money on shoes, honestly. We finished out the night, hanging in the whirlpool with our new blogger besties, and chatting about our weekend together.
It was the very best trip, we were so lucky to experience Anthem of the Seas. I hope you enjoyed the posts from our adventure. Of course, I’d recommend Anthem of the Seas for your upcoming travel plans. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we’ll be up, up and away on another tropical trip. Have a wonderful week, and stay tuned, as we’ll be taking you on another adventure, Beauties. Buckle up! xx
