No, I don’t mean those melons! (But, we’ve got those too.) I’m talking about the hottest spring and summer accessories of the season! You may be jetting off to some sunny destination sometime soon, and you won’t want to leave these behind. They are the fanciest floats you can find, and they are the perfect addition to your spring or summer pool party.
I was heading to Florida, to visit my sis and I can never turn down a dose of sunshine. I knew we’d spend time lounging by the pool and we decided to up our accessory game with some fruity pool rafts. We loved the watermelon and pineapple rafts the best. There are so many other great options out there such as doughnut, ice cream cone, flamingo, and swan rafts. We loved them all. My burning question, though? Where’s the “kale” raft (#cleaneating)? You know it’s gotta be out there somewhere, or maybe it’s still in development. Well, we’ll just leave that for next year, when the collection of organic veggie pool rafts come out to play. I’m sure it’s happening.
To style our pool looks, my sister wore a solid, black one piece (similar here or here). One piece swimsuits are definitely having a moment right now. There are many fancy ones out there. She accessorized her look with a straw hat (similar here), which had a black ribbon, and aviator sunnies.
I wore a 2 piece swimsuit by Trina Turk (similar here). As you know, I love brights, so I always love Trina Turk’s brilliant, colorful resort, spring collection. The suits are gorgeous, the prints look amazing, and I love the detailed, shiny hardware used for each style. I wore blue mirrored aviators to complete my look.
It was the perfect day to play in the pool with my sis. We celebrated her birthday and brunched at one of our favorite spots, Oxford Exchange with our family.
I absolutely love it here in sunny, Florida. I could definitely see myself living here. The pace is very opposite of New York. The sunny days make me happy, and the calm lifestyle is something I embrace when I’m here. I know it won’t happen anytime soon, but a girl can dream.
