It sounds like a simple task, and yet it’s an easy one to forget. There are places and spaces that help me to breathe much easier, and Maui is one of them. It’s quite the distance from NYC, but somehow, this place feels like home.
My Tips For Keeping a Bikini Bod While on Summer Vacay
June 19, 2017“Hi…I’ll have a margarita, on the rocks with salt. Oh, and the guac sounds delish. Put that on my tab too!” Vacation food really does have me at hello, but how on earth do you keep a bikini bod, while splurging on vacay? I’m no expert, but today, I’m sharing my own summer vacation fitness routine, while traveling.
Have you got a travel bug on your mind? So do I. Always! While I’m not yet an expert on the best beaches in Tahiti, or the the most scenic views of Iceland (although both are on my bucket list), I can share my expertise on my home, New York City. In the almost fourteen years that I’ve lived in this city, I’ve fallen in love with so many places which I’ll be sharing with you in my travel guide below.
Am I right? Each year, since I’ve lived in New York, we pack our bags for the journey back home for the holidays, however this year, we’ve got something sneaky up our sleeve. Our journey is two fold! Aside from Thanksgiving, and a long weekend with the fam, we’re traveling to a super sneaky, top secret destination for one, giant adventure. We can’t tell you when, we can’t tell you where, but we are beyond excited, and can’t wait to share.

Countdown to Labor Day weekend Beauties! Are you traveling over the holiday? Did you make fancy plans? If not, no worries. Today, I’m recapping my favorite places and spaces from our recent trip to Martha’s Vineyard. If you live in NYC, you can get there by train, and ferry in a pinch. Although it takes awhile, it’s great for a last minute get away. You’ll find the island to be quaint, charming, and ever so peaceful. So, buckle up and start to scroll. Here’s my list of must-see destinations to check out while vacationing on the Vineyard.
Sequined party dress..check! Perfectly manicured nails…check! Champagne and sassy stilettos? Double check! Typically, these are my thoughts each year as my birthday weekend rolls around. I get excited about the party, and I love to dress up.
A little black dress should be a staple in every woman’s wardrobe. It is an easy go-to style, that will always make you feel incredible. How do you know you’ve found the right one for you? When you try on that perfect dress, you should feel like a million bucks! A little black dress is definitely an investment piece, and worth spending the money on the best style for you.
The little black dress, that I’m wearing in this post is my most valuable piece of clothing. It isn’t about the label of the dress, the price, or even where I bought it. It is irreplaceable, because of the way the dress makes me feel. When I wear my little black dress, I feel beautiful, sophisticated and sexy at the same time.
Team Sleepless in Sequins took a quick trip to Las Vegas last week for a photography conference right before New York Fashion Week. While in Vegas, we stayed at the fabulous Delano Hotel at Mandalay Bay, which recently opened. We originally fell in love with the Delano in Miami Beach, so we decided to check out the new hotel in Vegas, hoping for the same experience.
I was beyond impressed. The boutique hotel felt sleek, chic, and purely glamorous. The decor was modern and swanky. As I walked down the dark hallway, I walked passed a wall of gorgeous, glimmering mirrors. Even the scent of the place was incredible. The feeling in Vegas can be crazy and chaotic, however, this hotel felt luxurious, sophisticated, and peaceful at the same time. I fell in love with the decor, the cute coffee shop, swanky Franklin Bar, and the lovely dining options. White roses in perfect vases were displayed around the space as well.
It was a lovely evening on Martha’s Vineyard, and we decided to journey to Menemsha Beach, which is famous for its gorgeous sunsets. Ever since I was a child, we made a tradition of spending time at Menemsha Beach. The beach was just as I remembered it, with boats docked at the harbor, soft white sand, gentle ocean waves, and a cool breeze. We laid out our blankets, beach chairs, and unpacked the lobster rolls we picked up from the local shop. We opened a great bottle of wine, and toasted to the beautiful evening.
While vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard, we enjoyed the sunny weather and spent time at Lambert’s Cove Beach. The beach was a welcomed change from the Concrete Jungle, otherwise known as Manhattan.
