Hello Beauties! Today, I’m channeling my inner Malibu Barbie, in a hot (and I mean hot) pink romper. I was recently speaking with a friend and complimenting her bright yellow dress, when she told me that the color yellow is all she had been choosing this season. While we were chatting, we agreed that every season we tend to gravitate to a certain color. I realized that my season’s color is hot pink. It’s funny though, because I haven’t loved it in the past, but for some reason I can’t resist the bright pop of pink.
You already know my about my long time love affair with rompers…#cantstopwontstop. I mean it. I’m addicted to this silhouette. I can easily toss on a pair of fancy flops or sassy stilettos and I’m ready to hit the town in a moment’s notice. This silhouette is such a statement piece, and I always get so many compliments. It feels “easy breezy” and perfect for walking around all day. My favorite feature about this dress happens to be a blessing and a curse at the same time. I absolutely love the way this piece laces up the back of the dress, giving it an absolutely beautiful design detail. I always search for special design details when choosing my outfits. The curse…any liquid consumption, means an insane amount of lacing, unzipping, zipping and re-lacing just for a single bathroom trip. I know, I know. TMI, but you’ve got to think about these things! Apparently, I thought about it for long enough to decide I’d limit liquids, since the Barbie romper was obviously worth it.
To accessorize my romper look, I designed several, colorful charm bracelets. Yes! I’m designing again and I’ve got my wings back. These beauties will be available for purchase soon on Hallie Friedman Jewelry, and they are must-haves. I also added two gold bangles (similar here and here). I chose turquoise drop earrings to contrast the pink dress and added a gold geometric necklace as well. I wore my white rimmed aviators, gold stilettos (similar here), and carried a neon yellow clutch (similar here) to complete my look.
During our sunny, Sunday afternoon, we decided to take a stroll along the water, and took photos on the pier. I felt eyes on me as I brushed past people, most likely because of my Barbie romper, and also because of Grant’s crazy camera. We attract attention…eek! I’m often told that I look like I’m from the south, and people somehow instantly know I’m not from New York. I think it’s because of my blonde hair and crazy colors I choose to wear. I’m not a simple girl and I never choose simple clothing.
The point? Be yourself, because that’s the very best person you can be. Each and every one of you was born to stand out in your own individual way. For me, that’s bright colors, gobs of jewelry, and sparkles galore. It explains my personality to a T, and that works for me. What works for you? How to you choose to express yourself? Choose your favorite looks, and be 100% you, all day and every day. I’d love to hear some of your favorite styles for summer, so give us a shout out! Enjoy your week, Beauties!! xx
