It was the height of New York Fashion Week, and we attended one party after another, reviewing the collections of several clothing brands. The very best part about these fancy soirées, is being dressed for events. Ah, yes…one step into the Lafayette 148 showroom, and my little heart skipped a beat. A million beautiful outfits, and I couldn’t wait to pick one. With just one glance, I spied spectacular prints, stunning silhouettes, and a color palette that made me swoon.
Lafayette 148 is a luxury, women’s clothing brand, located in the heart of NYC, and created by CEO & Co-Founder, Deirdre Quinn. The brand is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year. They currently have stores located all over the globe. The incredible part about this brand is that women of all age ranges can sport these styles, and look fabulous in each and every one of them. Lafayette 148 prides themselves in their constant evolution, by reinventing their look each season, based on the lifestyle of the women who love their brand. They carry a wide range of styles, and they make it simple to find a sophisticated look that transitions from day to night with ease.
The event was hosted by entreprenuer, and savvy, social media expert, Natalie Zfat. Natalie is a truly inspiring woman, using her knowledge to share, educate and connect women in the industry. The women I met at the event were dressed to the nines, styling themselves in pieces from the collection. I saw so many pieces that I loved, but what truly caught my eye, was the way the each of the women created their look. Each showcased their individuality, pairing their pieces to perfection.
To style my own look for the event, I chose a mid length, leather skirt, and paired it with a shimmery, silver turtleneck, which I wore backwards (on purpose), and tucked into the skirt. I layered my ensemble with three different necklaces, which I designed with gunmetal chain, and crystal beads to finish off the style. To accessorize the ensemble, I wore my favorite Valentino sunnies (similar here), and pointed toe pumps (similar here).
The event was a blast. I enjoyed a lovely evening sipping on champagne, and chatting with my fellow fashion blogger friends. It was such a treat to learn more about the brand. Natalie spoke in a Q&A along side, Lafayette 148’s New York Retail Director, Noelle Dubina. They shared thoughts on turning a passion into a career, and Noelle spoke about her love for the Lafayette 148 brand, the power of her team, and the exciting future of the business.
