My long awaited week of relaxation had arrived, and I was bursting with excitement. I was on my way to Martha’s Vineyard, a small island located in Massachusetts, just off the coast of Cape Cod. Martha’s Vineyard has been my family’s vacation destination, since I was a child, and I have many wonderful memories there.
With my outfits packed, and bags ready to go, I hopped on the plane and left NYC for a week in a woodland paradise. As we flew over the Atlantic, I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful islands below. We came in for a landing and Martha’s Vineyard was just as I remembered, full of greenery, beautiful beaches, and charming towns. The homes are tucked into the forest, which allows for complete tranquility.
Our first stop was the West Tisbury Farmer’s Market. The food and flowers are fresh, locally grown, and so beautiful! We gathered food to cook in the evening, bouquets of flowers for color, and headed to my uncle’s home.
I spent my first day lounging in my cover up, and catching up with my family over delicious food and wine. I was excited to wear my latest jewelry piece, the Ocean Blue Braided Bracelet. I created the bracelet using multiple blue, and white cording, braided and intertwined with a gold chain for a nautical look.
Inspired by the serene feel of the Vineyard, I chose outfits and designed jewelry pieces accordingly. As Sleepless in Sequins explores Martha’s Vineyard, you’ll get a true taste of my Vineyard style. Stay tuned for my upcoming posts.
