New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is the fashion industry’s chance showcase high fashion on the runways. Held at the tents of Lincoln Center, designers, celebs, stylists, and fashion bloggers deck themselves out, to attend the city’s celebration of style. With all of the shows, lounges, and parties to attend, I scrambled to have outfits prepared for every event.
My favorite outfit of the week, was a solid, black jumpsuit accessorized with a leather tassel belt, Christian Louboutin Bianca pumps, and our Black Smoke Necklace. The Black Smoke necklace was created from gold medallions, black and smoky gray beads, and was suspended from a gold chain. I also wore our Golden Gunmetal Earrings, made from shimmering gray beads and gold vermeil. My wrists were stacked full of bracelets, including our Golden Smoke Cuff, Golden Rose Cuff, and several C Wonder bangles.
Leopard is all the rage this fall, so I decided to add the print to my black jumpsuit. This cropped, blazer was the perfect, printed accent piece to complete my outfit.
I carried Lena Erziak’s stunning gold and burgundy Bono bag, inspired by my friend and fellow blogger Leslie Marin, of Bleecker and Spring. I instantly fell in love with Lena Erziak’s gorgeous collection of handbags and I have many favorites on my wish list.
Outfit. Check. Accessories. Check. Killer Stilettos. Double Check. I was ready to hit the fashion tents. Just as expected, Lincoln Center was swarming with fashionistas. Climbing the stairs, and brushing past the doormen, I entered the tents and headed for the Monique Lhuillier runway show. With photographers and press swarming the runway, bright lights shining, music blaring, out stomped the stunning models.
Gorgeous dresses swished past each other, each with beautiful prints, flowing fabric and shimmering embellishments. Each outfit was more incredible than the next. Parading in a line of beauty, the models showed all of the final looks from the show, and Monique came out to take her bow. The show ended and the fashionistas scurried out of the tents.
Trying to hail a cab, while teetering in my tallest heels and fighting the fashion crowds was a challenge. I was finally successful! Those lucky little Louboutins did it again. We hopped in the cab and sped downtown to the Meatpacking district where we enjoyed dinner with friends at our favorite restaurant, Catch. With perfect service, incredible food, and great company, it was the best way to end my fashion-crazed day.
