Alex and Ani SS14 Collection Preview

This week, we had the pleasure of attending the Alex and Ani Spring/Summer 14 Collection Preview Event, which was held on the rooftop of the gorgeous Mondrian Soho hotel. Alex and Ani is a jewelry and accessories brand, which is rapidly growing in popularity. They are known for their necklaces, earrings, rings, and most of all, their beautiful bangles.

As we walked into the penthouse of the Mondrian, we brushed past stunning models in lovely white dresses, wearing stacks of Alex and Ani bangles. These bright, vibrant bracelets can be easily stacked together. You’ll usually see women wearing wrist-fulls of Alex and Ani bracelets, each one with a meaningful charm. Alex and Ani’s products are manufactured in the United States, made from recycled metals, and they are eco-friendly.

During the event, I was able to meet several members of the Alex and Ani team, including the Founder and Creative Director of the company, Carolyn Rafaelian. Each person I met had fantastic stories to share about the company and it’s culture. I was truly inspired by Carolyn’s creativity, love, and the positive energy she has given to the brand she created.

Alex and Ani’s Spring/Summer 14 collection is inspired by Carnivals, Caravans, and Natural Wonders. The styles include an element of spirituality and nature, with a mix of vibrant colors. Their Vintage Sixty Six Collection was created from mixed metals, and each piece has a “vintage-chic” design.

I especially loved the Gypsy 66 Wrap in Yellow Gold, and the Love Wrap. Both of which, I’ll be adding to my wish list.
