Spotted on a Friday night…a rosy midriff t-shirt (similar here), that I swooned over for a hot second, which was long enough to purchase. A perfect look in mind, with a rosy print that I imagined would transition well into spring, when paired with a leather skirt, velvet ankle boots and well,…the look flopped. It was all so perfect in my head, and then an epic fail.
Does this happen to you? Please tell me it does. At that moment, you want to whip out your receipt, abandon that dreamy look, and head for the hills, resorting to that plain old, boring outfit that you seem to find every Friday night. Stop right there. I want you to think for a second. Recreate your look, because I know you can.
That’s exactly what I did. This lovely, little rosy look, was completely built from the current contents of my closet with the addition of the new, floral tee. I paired a midi black skirt (similar here) with the floral t-shirt to create a ladylike look, instead of the edgy look that I initially chose. I added my favorite, Ted Baker magenta coat, which worked will with my color palette. I added patent, pointy toe pumps, a few jewels, and a mini Furla bag to finish off my look.
Lesson learned? Consider your closet a treasure chest. You’ve got the pieces and the parts. Now, use your creativity to put them together. I know you can. Show me what you’ve created. I’d love to see! I hope you had the the loveliest weekend, beauties. Stay tuned for our next post this week. We busted our booties to create some fun, inspirational content for you, and can’t wait to share. Smooches! xx
