I recently had the pleasure of attending accessories designer, Elaine Turner’s Store Opening Celebration on Madison Avenue, which is her first New York boutique. The party was hosted by Purses and Pursenalities, and 10% of the proceeds from the party went to the Madison Square Boys’ & Girls’ Club. The Texas based designer creates gorgeous handbags, shoes, and jewelry. Her collection showcases beautiful styles, full of color and textured fabrics. The moment I walked in the store, I understood the direction of the brand. The brilliant color and fun, flirty accessories targets the adventurous woman who expresses her zest for life through her personal style.
The brand is incredibly charitable as well, supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. The cause is near and dear to Elaine’s heart as her mother is a breast cancer survivor. The Elaine Turner Gives Initiative (#ETGives), is a year-round campaign supporting the cause. Their BCA Bella Clutch, and the signature wrap bracelets, are both adorned with the ribbon hardware, in support of BCA as well. Ten percent of the profits from these styles are donated to the Stehlin Foundation for Cancer Research.
I had the opportunity to chat with Elaine, and she was just as wonderful as I expected. She is funny, gracious, and of course, stylish. I truly admire the brand she has created.
I spent the rest of the evening sipping on champagne, nibbling on pink Texas shaped cookies, and chatting with bloggers Amanda Gluck of Fashionable Hostess, Cara Kovacs of The Style Phile, and Krista Robertson of Covering Bases.
As an accessories girl, I fell in love with so many styles in the store. My favorites are the Lola Cork Handbag, and the Lola Rio Woven Handbag. I’ll be adding them to my wish list. These bright, brilliant styles left me counting down to spring. Have you checked out Elaine Turner’s accessories? What are are your favorites?
