Give me a ballerina skirt, a pair of pom pom, pointy toe pumps, and just let me twirl. As a little girl, I fell in love with ballet, took lessons, and continued through college. My sister bought my pointe shoes as a gift, and unfortunately, I never quite reached that goal, although I still dream about it. So, any designer, that can get me to step into a tulle, ballerina skirt, has stolen my heart, and made my childhood dreams come true.

Enter, my incredibly talented friend, and accessories designer, Jillian Tarantino of Kenzie’s Klozet. She creates fabulous, one of a kind children’s headbands, and tutus in any color, texture, or sparkly combination you could dream of. Each piece she creates is even more gorgeous than next. Her brand is inspired by her adorable daughter, Kenzie. Over the years I’ve been impressed by the skill, talent, and beauty that she pours into her collection. After falling in love with so many of her pieces, Jillian agreed to create a custom, designed, tulle, ballerina skirt for me. She’s the friend that just made my dreams come true. I opened the package as it arrived in the mail, and I fell in love. I couldn’t wait to style the look!

I’d wear this tulle beauty, for a date night to the ballet of course, so what better place to shoot the look, than Lincoln Center. I paired the skirt with a black, halter body suit, pointed toe pom pom pumps (my favorites, which you can find on sale here), and draped a long, black coat (similar here) over my shoulders to complete the style. Since I went for an evening look, I pulled my hair into an easy top knot, and added a leather, bow headband, as well as crystal earrings. I wore my favorite Valentino sunnies, as well as my black, cross body bag (similar here). The look felt feminine, chic, and oh-so-fabulous.

Jillian, thank you for the ballerina skirt of my dreams. You inspire me in every way possible. I wish you nothing but success, and am so proud to be able to share one of your custom pieces. I cannot wait to see what you create next. Keep dreaming, and keep climbing, sweet friend.

To purchase the skirt, or any of Jillian’s accessories, you can email her at Jillian@kenziesklozet.com. You can follow her at instragram.com/kenzies.klozet as well. I know you’ll love her as much as I do.
