It’s New York Fashion Week, and what could possibly be better than attending the fabulous runway shows? Being primped, pampered, and styled by TRESemmé’s expert stylists before heading to the shows. The TRESemmé lounge is actually located inside of the tents, and the hair styling is complimentary for fashionistas attending the shows. The styling team created an incredible range of looks, from intricate braids, curls, beach waves, and up dos. A few of my favorite fashion bloggers had TRESemmé styles that I absolutely loved! I’ll admit that I rarely have my hair styled. I can be really picky and I like to do everything myself. Ok, so I’m a tad controlling. It’s a good thing…sometimes. So after trudging through the snowy streets, to get to the shows that evening, my hair was sopping wet. I stopped in the tents and immediately found the TRESemmé team. “Hi,” I said. “My hair needs extreme help. Is there anything you can do?” There was no way I could walk into a show with flat, wet hair. The girls were incredibly helpful and happened to have an opening for a styling session right away.
The last time I was happy with my hair style was my wedding day, and it was perfect. Since then, I haven’t much luck, and I honestly tend to dodge stylists. However, my world changed that evening, when I met Johanna Hollingshead-Hernandez. She is the incredibly talented stylist that gave my hair a complete makeover in 15 minutes. I’ve never been so in love my hair. Johanna molded and shaped my hair into perfectly loose curls, using different sizes of curling irons. She then pinned the curls up, and sprayed them with TRESemmé’s products. As she pulled the pins out, she shaped the curls with her hands, pulling and placing each one until they were perfect. My curls looked natural, and effortless, just the way I love them. It happened to be Valentine’s Day as well, so my hair was on point for date night!
I was beyond impressed with Johanna. With bright eyes, and a sweet smile, she kindly explained each step as she styled, so I could attempt to replicate the look on my own (emphasis on the word “attempt”). I know it’ll never look as fabulous as the night Johanna worked her magic. Needless to say, I’m completely obsessed with TRESemmé, and would love to make Johanna my forever stylist. She’s that good.
