Beach chairs, colorful towels, and we were off! On a sticky, summer day, we bolted to the beach, feeling the grains of sand between our toes as we ran. The trek felt long, but worth it.
I fully embrace the beach bum life during our trips to Martha’s Vineyard. Living in New York City, I don’t have the option to walk in the sand or swim in the ocean. As much as I love the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle, I crave being in nature from time to time and I long for the beach in the summers. I love watching the waves, and could be perfectly content watching them for hours.
That particular day, we ran errands, picked up breakfast at the cutest little spot, The Scottish Bakehouse (which I terribly miss), and settled on the beach for a few hours soak up the sunshine.
For a day at the beach, I wore a neon, triangle bikini (similar here), detailed with ruffles. I fell in love with a sassy, striped Kate Spade cover up, which caught my eye because of the fabulous colors. I layered the two, tossed on some flops, sprayed my self with some spf, and my beach look was complete.
I accessorized with my go-to sunnies of the season, by Foster Grant. I love the simple black frames. They are such a statement look for the summer, and coordinate with so many of my summer ensembles. I can’t wait to bust out these beauties, and transition them into my fall looks as well. They are such a fabulous style to sport throughout the year.
If you visit Martha’s Vineyard this summer, a few fabulous beaches to check out are Lambert’s Cove Beach in West Tisbury (which is private), Lucy Vincent & Menemsha beaches in Chilmark, and Gay Head Beach in Aquinnah. Wherever you’re traveling this summer, I wish you an exciting adventure! Stay tuned for the rest of our Vineyard posts. Lots of love. xx
