Yep! Hello, ice cream! It was 9am on Saturday morning, when I walked into my favorite gelato cafe, Paciugo, while on our vaca in St. Pete. I’m pretty sure I was the only girl at the crack of dawn, ordering a triple scoop cone of gelato with sprinkles. “Hi sir. I’ll have a waffle cone with 3 scoops, please. I’d like the violet (because it’s purple, obviously), next the mint chip (because it’s green), and then the strawberry (because it’s pink). Oh, and I’d like them scooped in that order. Don’t forget the extra sprinkles. Thanks!” He gave me the strangest look, while all of his other normal customers ordered their morning coffee. Why the specific colors, you ask? Well, for photos of course! It had to coordinate with the outfit, #lifeofablogger. We think about these things.

Sweets aren’t my favorite. In fact, I’m really only obsessed with salty snacks. However, on our trips to St. Pete, I absolutely love Paciugo Gelato Cafe, and we stop there multiple times each time we visit. I live for their Nocciola (hazelnut) gelato. That’s my favorite flavor.

Since spring is in full swing, I thought it was only appropriate to create a sweets inspired post to share with you. The outfit was inspired by an ice cream tote bag, by Kate Spade which is perfect for spring/summer. It was the statement piece of my look.

I wore a bright pink, fit and flare dress (similar here), to coordinate with the spring look. The pink was a perfect pop of color against the bag. It’s important to remember that if you choose colorful, printed accessories, you’ll want to choose a solid color for your outfit. You don’t want your look to be too busy.

I accessorized with a gold, collar necklace (similar here), leaf earrings (similar here), and white rimmed aviators (similar here). I wore neutral, wedge sandals to complete my look.

That day, we strolled down Beach Drive, which is such a lovely street, full of fun restaurants, a beautiful park, and the Fine Arts Museum, where we took several of our photos. A few of my favorite spots for dinner include Ceviche and Bar Taco which are both amazing restaurants with small bites and sharable plates. Oxford Exchange is another fun lunch spot if you are visiting the area. It’s a fancy bookstore, with a beautiful winding staircase, and an indoor garden with a glass ceiling. They have a great brunch! We stopped by the farmer’s market, St. Pete beach, and spent time by the water, walking along the marina, while admiring the boats. It was my first time inside of The Vinoy Renaissance Resort, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The decor is incredible, complete with Chihuly, glass chandeliers.

I really love our trips to St. Pete. We were visiting for my sister’s birthday and my parents were there as a surprise. It was such a fun family celebration and I was sad to leave them. I feel lucky to spend time with them, in a place that feels so peaceful. I really cherish my time there.

Have you found any fabulous collections, that you’ve fallen in love with for spring? Are there any fun places that you are jetting off to? We’d love to hear about it, so please give us a shout out, and don’t forget to #travelinsequins. Wishing you a wonderful week, Beauties! Lots of love from the cloudy skies, as we fly over NYC. xx
