A Brilliant Blue Dress For Date Night In Maui

October 13, 2015

It was date night on repeat in Maui, and every night was a dream. I hadn’t even packed a pair of stilettos for our trip, and I didn’t miss them at all. My typical packing routine would include grabbing every single pair of heels I own, shoving them into my suitcase and praying that it closed. I generally know I’m packing too much, but I do actually wear them all.

Although I did pack every outfit I owned for our trip to Maui, I brought very few pairs shoes. No one wears really wears heels there, and island style is pretty easy breezy. I have to admit, I was into it.

As you may have read in my previous posts (here), we stayed at the beautiful Four Seasons Resort in Maui. Our room overlooked gorgeous gardens, fountains, as well as the ocean. We headed out to explore the gardens before date night one evening. I was styled in a turquoise striped tunic dress (similar here). I love the shades of blue throughout the dress. The fit was really comfortable. If you know me, I rarely go for comfort, but I gave in with this beauty. It stole my heart.

I paired the dress with wedge sandals by UGG, and my favorite mirrored sunnies by Ray Ban. In most cases I don’t go for a monochromatic look, but the blue sunnies worked perfectly, and I carried a turquoise tote bag (similar here). I chose fun silver bangles for jewelry and white chandelier earrings.

We ate at my favorite restaurant, Ferraro’s at the resort, and sat near the beach to close out the evening. The warm breeze during the evenings in Maui is perfect, and I was content just sitting there to take it all in.

I do love simple, easy breezy outfits. They end up being a statement piece all on their own. Do you have any favorites that you love? We’d love to hear your thoughts, so give us a shout out. Hope you’re having a lovely week and thanks for reading, Beauties! xx
