One weekend, a handful of style influencers, and one luxurious ship in a league of it’s own. We were lucky enough to be invited on a weekend adventure with Royal Caribbean to explore their latest and greatest ship, The Anthem of the Seas, which is currently docked in Bayonne, New Jersey. We were wined and dined, we celebrated and explored, and met so many incredible people. It was truly a memorable weekend.
The Anthem of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise ship, and it is a stunner! As we approached the ship we were amazed by it’s size and splendor. With 16 decks and a length of 1150 feet, the vessel’s appearance alone is beyond impressive. We stepped aboard the ship and the decor around us felt grand and luxurious. There were art installations, glimmering chandeliers, fancy restaurants, and lounges. There was even a Bionic Bar, where “mixology meets technology” with robotic bartenders that create engineered cocktails. This bar is so unique, and it is the only one that currently exists in the world.
There are an incredible amount of activities that the Anthem of the Seas has to offer (which we will feature in our upcoming post). You can get a thrilling aerial view of the ship, on the North Star while suspended 300 feet above the ocean, in a jewel shaped capsule. If you’re adventurous, which I am, there is a Ripcord by iFLY skydiving experience, a SeaPlex venue which features a circus school, basketball court, roller rink, and bumper cars. If you want to walk on water, you can do that too, while riding the waves on a 40 foot surf simulator, called the Flowrider. Just hang tight and be prepared for a wipe out. For health and relaxation options, there is a spa and fitness area on board as well.
This was my very first cruise and I was impressed. We stayed in an ocean view stateroom with a balcony. Our first night on the ship, we went to the top deck, surrounded by pools, to meet up with a few of our fashion blogger friends. We celebrated with a “Sail Away” party as the vessel began to set sail. The energy of the guests aboard was amazing. People were so excited, waving their flags, and sporting light up sunglasses. The ship was aglow with colorful lights as New York themed music played in honor of the celebration. I fell in love with my city all over again that night.
Once we left, we got ready for our cocktail party with the fashion bloggers in our group. I chose my favorite navy, bodycon cocktail dress from Lulu’s to wear to the event, and accessorized with silver, opened toe sandals, and crystal jewelry. The cocktail party was held in the Solarium which was lit up in blue lights, surrounding beautiful pools. The deck overlooked the water and a view of lower Manhattan. We sailed past the Statue of Liberty, which is always such a treat.
There are eighteen different culinary options to choose from, with celebrity chefs, such as Jamie Oliver, Michael Schwartz, Devin Alexander, and Cornelius Gallagher. We dined at Coastal Kitchen which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant features a “gourmet California-Mediterranean fare” as well as a variety of Californian wines. I loved each dish I tasted.
We stopped at different lounges throughout the evening and had such a blast. There are many other entertainment options with fabulous shows to see as well as comedy acts. We closed out the night in the whirlpools, relaxing from a busy, and exciting day.
The weekend was incredible in every way possible and let’s just say the Anthem of the Seas was “dressed to impress.” If you are looking for a fancy fall getaway, definitely check out the Anthem of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. You’ll have the time of your life. We definitely did!
So Beauties, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Stay tuned, as we feature several of our adventures from the trip this weekend. Much love from NYC. xx
