They were sprinkled across the sky like glitter. I’ve never seen so many stars in my life. There were a million, and I was in awe. The starry skies of Maui were somethinout of fairytale.
What’s your number? How many can you possibly try in a day? Swimsuits… I’m asking about. For me, the price tag and the name brand doesn’t make a difference. Of course, I’ll stick with a brand if I know that it fits me well.
Truth? I’ve been living in palm print pieces entirely too much over the summer. From rompers, to dresses, and even my loungewear is sending off tropical vibes. Maybe I’ll just exchange the palm print party for a one way ticket on vaca. What do ya think?
Hi. My name is Hallie. I’m 5’2″ on my good days. My feet dangle when I sit on chairs, subway seats, and toilet seats (I know…tmi). I choose food at the grocery store, based on the shelves I can reach…which isn’t many. When it comes to clothing, it’s a greater challenge.
This past weekend marked the “unofficial start to summer,” which is absolute favorite season. I may be the only one that lives for the steamy summer days and hot summer nights. I love the evenings when I can step outside, and take on the city, in a teeny, little summer dress. There’s nothing better than cool cocktails, on a gorgeous rooftop, seasonal soirées with friends, or city strolls at sunset for late night ice cream with Grant. Summer just makes me happy.
This weekend was quite the sunny one in NYC, and I loved every second of it. The sunshine has got me counting to down to summer, as well as Memorial Day weekend. How many more days? I should start the picnic prep now, right? I thought so. I’m a summer girl, and I live for my summer wardrobe. Bring on the brights, the prints, and the insanely uncomfortable, yet adorable summer sandals! I’m ready and armed with extra band aids!
Do you ever spend a whole day breaking rules? I mean your own rules. I tend to be a creature of habit, ordering the same lunch, same coffee; I run around the city with the same daily schedule, and my life can feel a bit like the movie, Groundhog Day. #Snooze. I do appreciate the daily grind, but it can also feel a bit stale from time to time.
Do you have a childhood memory you cherish? One that you reflect on, and it gives you butterflies? For me, it’s traveling to Martha’s Vineyard. On our recent trip to the Vineyard, Grant and I spent time exploring a few favorite places that I used to visit with my family many years ago. When I was younger, I remember hoping that I’d be able to bring my future husband, back to explore a place that was so special to me. Although Grant has been to Martha’s Vineyard a few times with my family, this time it was just us, and it was just as dreamy as I imagined.
How many pairs of shoes do you own? What are your favorite styles? I always notice statement shoes, before any others, while shopping for that “perfect pair.” I’m at a disadvantage due to my child-sized foot, however lucky for you beauties, I’ve found 10 pairs from Lyst, that will make you swoon.

Hello yoga pants! Now that I’ve got your attention, a serious question to ask, here. Does anyone really look bad in yoga pants? They are somehow flattering to all shapes and sizes (unless of course, they are sheer, and then I might retract my statement.) Although yoga isn’t quite my forte, I am a fan of these easy, breezy little tights, that I slip on before I dart out the door to the gym. They shrink down to size, and as I pull them out of my drawer, they look teeny, they look tiny, and I swear if I eat one more blueberry, they won’t quite fit, but voilà! They always do! They stretch, they cling, they flatter, and they do hug in all the right places. Little miracle workers, they are! As I throw on a top, and sneakers, I think to myself, why can’t I just live in these clothes everyday? They’re cute, comfy, and they are entirely too easy.
