One of my favorite jewelry pieces is a heart shaped charm with a jeweled ballerina, passed down from my parents. It was one the first gifts my dad had given my mom, when they began dating. My dad carefully chose this beautiful piece, and added an inscription of love on the back of the charm.
Today was a beautiful and sunny day to celebrate Mother’s Day in New York. Unfortunately I am far from my mom and could not be with her to celebrate today. Strolling the streets on Mother’s Day, watching all of the lovely mothers and children enjoying brunch, always makes me miss my mom the most. As I was about to go out today, I wore my beautiful charm necklace close to my heart. It made me feel closer to her.
