This past weekend I hosted a Fashion Blogger Summer Picnic in the park. The weather was perfect, and we had a fabulous group of fashion bloggers in attendance, including Cara Kovacs, Leslie Marin, Aishley Tromp, Kathleen Osborne, and Blair Agostinelli.
The girls each brought munchies to snack on for our picnic. I created a cheese platter, and veggie and fruit platter full of fun, delicious dips. We shared chips, as well as my favorite guacamole. The best treat of the afternoon was our cupcakes by Baked by Melissa. They are small enough to leave you feeling guilt free, and great because you can try a fabulous variety of flavors as well. These bite size cupcakes are adorable and packed with flavor. Our sweet, little cupcakes didn’t last very long, and they were worth each bite.
Our picnic was generously sponsored by Wine Sisterhood, and they donated all of the wine that we tasted during the afternoon. They have several different labels. We enjoyed the Middle Sister wines as well as the Wine Sisterhood bottles. The company was created by women, in support of sisterhood. Wine Sisterhood, is an lifestyle site about entertaining, style, wine, food and travel. They have created a space for women to learn and be inspired by each other. Each of the wines have interesting names such as Middle Sister’s Drama Queen for Pinot Grigio, and Goodie Two Shoes for the Pinot Noir. They have fun, creative descriptions, explaining sisterhood and tips for supporting the women in our lives. My favorite wine was Wine Sisterhood’s Passionate Pinot Grigio.
The company is charitable as well; supporting breast cancer awareness in their “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” campaign. They also have their “Help A Sister Out,” campaign where they pledge money to organizations which support sisterhood. Any of the wines can be purchased in their online shop. I highly recommend this wonderful brand of wines. I loved the flavors in each wine that I tasted. The girls were so excited about them as well. I would definitely host my future events serving Wine Sisterhood and Middle Sisters wines. Many thanks to the lovely Anne Marie Harrison and Cara Kovacs and for making this sponsorship possible. We are truly grateful. If you’d like to follow this wonderful brand, you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
We sat in the park for hours sharing stories, tasting wines, and brainstorming ideas for future fashion blogger events. The women who took part in the afternoon, are exactly the type of ladies that Wine Sisterhood supports. We promote each other, celebrate successes, and inspire each other to dream. This is my favorite quality of our fashion blogging community. We challenge each other to grow. Our afternoon was full of laughter, sunflowers, wonderful food, and great wine. I look forward to our next themed event, and expanding our fabulous group of incredible women.
