It has officially been one year since the launch of Sleepless in Sequins. We created our site through a combined love for design, style, and photography. Meet the man behind the camera, Grant Friedman. He is my husband, photographer, and best friend. Together we create style shoots, attend fashion events, and runway shows. He challenges me, and inspires me to create every day. Sleepless in Sequins has become our hobby, our love, and our direct connection with the fashion and photography industries.
I have worked in fashion for many years, yet it was the blog that truly inspired my passion for design and style. I have experienced more in the past year, than I ever imagined when I packed up my bags to move to New York City almost ten years ago. The blog has helped me to dream bigger than I ever have before. It excites me and ignites a passion, knowing that my possibilities are endless.
My jewelry line plays a significant role in the development of each photo shoot, as well as the creation of my collection each season. I design my jewelry pieces around each outfit, and use a specific color scheme for each photo shoot. This allows me to show my readers how I stylize my look through my jewelry and accessory collection.
We have been lucky to meet some incredible people through the fashion blogging community this year. It is such a social community, and we are very supportive of each other. I love feeling motivated and inspired by my fellow fashion bloggers. We collaborate on projects, attend events together and promote each other’s work. I feel thankful to have met my incredible blogger friends, Cara Kovacs of The Style Phile, Christine Bibbo Herr of NYC Pretty, and Kim Weling of Fashionably Petite.
I would also like to thank the teams of Yumi Kim, Brahmin Handbags, and Vogue Magazine, who have been so supportive of us this year. Their kindness and generosity have been truly appreciated.
