Dressed head to toe in spring brights, including a hot pink dress, featuring the Calypso Statement necklace I designed, and my Badgley Mischka gold open toe pumps, I headed to the Meatpacking District. I accessorized with an electric blue envelope clutch adorned with gold studs. Inspired by a bright spring sorbet color palette, I used pinks, coral, aqua, and tangerine dyed jade beads along with gold crystallized glass to create the Calypso Jade Necklace. The beads were suspended from a multi ring gold chain. This gorgeous statement piece was a fantastic addition to my dress.
My first stop was the famous Chelsea Market, where I checked out every delicious food in the market. It was bustling with people enjoying hearty sandwiches, lovely desserts, warm coffee, and other specialty foods that the market has to offer. I stopped in Eleni’s New York, an adorable little bakery full of colorful cupcakes, and sweet decorated cookies to celebrate the spring season. I wandered on and treated myself to a strawberry and nocciola gelato waffle cone from the delicious gelateria, L’Arte del Gelato. Enjoying my delightful cone, I walked through the cobblestone streets of the Meatpacking District, window shopping and admiring the beautiful spring clothing in the windows.
I stumbled upon my favorite restaurant in New York, Catch. If you find yourself visiting the city, Catch is a MUST for your trip. The food and service are supurb. I just had to go in. It is always such a treat! I sat with my husband, watching the sunset over the glamourous Meatpacking district. Chatting over a glass of wine, and our favorite hors d’oeuvers, we enjoyed enjoyed an incredible night together. My kickoff to spring was fantastic.
