Baublebar is one of my favorite accessory boutiques. It began as an online jewelry shop, but recently, Baublebar opened a pop up shop in Soho. This week, Baublebar had a fabulous DIY Swarovski event hosted by Grace Atwood from Stripes and Sequins. During the event, I purchased the Emerald Iced Bracelet, and was given a small, jewelry box to embellish with Swarovski crystals. I have a love for anything that sparkles, so you can imagine my excitement when I was able to crystallize my own jewelry box.
Soho is one of my favorite shopping destinations in New York City. It has a great combination of designer stores and lovely boutiques. There are charming coffee shops and trendy restaurants around every corner, if you need a break from your retail therapy. My shopping trip to Soho was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Yumi Kim, Hawaiian print romper, which I found at Wink NYC, one my favorite boutiques in the city. I love all of Yumi Kim’s styles, but above all, I adore her gorgeous, vibrant prints.
On a sunny afternoon, I decided to take a walk through the East Village. The East Village has a quirky mix of qualities. You’ll find walls of graffiti, vintage shops, dive bars, as well some of New York’s swankiest restaurants. The East Village is where the hipster meets the trend setter. I love this about New York City. I find a different adventure in every neighborhood.
On a beautiful, sunny Saturday, I took my usual stroll through Central Park. The excitement of the warm weather, was ideal for my new sundress. I fell in love with this printed beauty, during my shopping trip to Los Angeles, the bright colors and gorgeous florals caught my eye.
I took a quick trip to LA, for some inspiration, shopping and a change of scenery. While New York is always my love, I felt the need for some beachy sunshine in my life.
One of my favorite jewelry pieces is a heart shaped charm with a jeweled ballerina, passed down from my parents. It was one the first gifts my dad had given my mom, when they began dating. My dad carefully chose this beautiful piece, and added an inscription of love on the back of the charm.
I recently had the pleasure of attending the Adam & Wyche Fashion for a Cause event at EVR, in New York’s fashion district. Adam & Wyche is a non profit organization, for bullying prevention.
During the Bloomingdales RM Roadtrip event, I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite designers, the lovely Rebecca Minkoff. I’ve always admired her talent and creativity and I thought that her Spring 2013 collection was absolutely beautiful.
When I was engaged, I spent months searching for the perfect bridal accessories to wear with my wedding gown. Oh, the options! I found floral combs made of crystals, pearls, intricate beading, brooches and feathers. This was my one and only wedding. My accessories had to be absolute perfection. Through my extensive search, I fell in love with these glittering, delicate combs. Inspired by my own bridal comb, I have created this lovely Vintage Floral Bridal Comb, handcreafted with Swarovski crystals, beads, and a crystal flower.
