In preparation for event, I styled a couple of the my favorite pieces from Tahari’s collection. I was inspired by a black and white color story for my party looks.
We are excited to announce that we are having a giving away for the Brahmin All Day Convertible Normandy Bag, which we styled in our recent post. The bag is a beautiful Electric Blue color, with ostrich printed leather. It can be styled three different ways. You can wear it on one shoulder, as a cross body, or remove the strap to use it as an envelope clutch. Brahmin’s summer handbag collection is incredible. We just celebrated the first weekend of summer, and it sure was adventurous! It was a gorgeous Sunday here in Manhattan. I spent the weekend, in the sunshine, shopping, attending a birthday party, and spent a fun afternoon at the Central Park Carnival. Yes, there is a carnival in Central Park during the summer, full of rides, games, cotton candy, and of course, ice cream! My summer in New York has felt like a stay-cation, so far. We’ve tried to do something adventurous each weekend, besides stopping by our usual hangouts. This weekend was the carnival.
To style my outfit for our fun afternoon, I chose a bright yellow fit and flare dress from Pookie and Sebastian. There is absolutely no way you’ll ever have a bad day in a bright yellow dress. The color is so happy. It attracts positive attention and usually a smile from others around you.
Wedding season has arrived, and you may have multiple weddings to celebrate. You are booking flights, and making arrangements for to celebrate with your loved ones. Now for the most challenging decision. What to wear? If you If you are a bridesmaid, your dress may be chosen by the bride, but if you are lucky, you’ll have a say in the dress as well.
While I tend to be the queen of prints, there’s something to be said for a truly classic, chic look using solid colors. I love the elegance and sophistication of a pure white dress. It is a clean look which is truly flattering on anyone. Neutral colors are always on trend for spring, and they remind me of a blank canvas. A beautiful, simple silhouette draws attention to a woman’s face, and also leaves room to play with accessories. The Robe Remerciement Dress by Sandro Paris fits the body perfectly, and has an interesting, sheer geometric detail. I also love the open detail in the back.
