If you had to define your style in one word, what would it be? Edgy? Classy? Feminine? Tricky, isn’t it? For me, it most definitely is. I can’t give you just one word to define my style. In the summer, it’s an array of floral prints, multiple shades of lace, all tied into a feminine look. However, during the fall and winter, I definitely add an edgy vibe to my look. This winter, I’ll finally admit it. I own more black in my closet than I ever thought possible. I’ve caved.
Or is it? More lace, more beading, more chain, more crystal? Yes, please! More is more, so let’s live it up a little! If you know me personally, or even through the blog, you’ll know that I live for the glitz and glam, and I have quite the weakness for accessories.

Oh, hey there, sequined superstars! We made it! “New Year, New You,” right? Scratch that, babes. I want you to take on this year as the same, you! Why? Because you’re already fabulous, and I don’t want you to forget that. No need for a “new you.” But, let’s kick up our heels a bit shall we? Throw some glitter in the the air, like ya just don’t care. I want you to take time, and actually celebrate your life.
Oh, the holidays…parties on top of parties. One glittery dress after another. You end up a smidge too jolly after a night full of festive cocktails and way too many Christmas cookies. But, oh so much fun, right?
Hop a flight and take off to Paris…check! Bring photographer/Instagram husband…double check. Now, what to pack? Dresses, leggings, outerwear, a zillion pairs of shoes…perfect! Now will my hair products and styling tools even fit into my suitcase? I usually pack my flatiron, sprays, and other hair styling products for any occasion. Ok, sit on suitcase, smash suitcase, step on suitcase, say a quick prayer, and it closed! Hallelujah! My hair products and styling tools made the cut! They were on their way to a fancy trip to Paris. Ooh la la!
When Grant and I met, we dated long distance for several years. He lived in Kentucky, and I was here in NYC. I would visit his hometown in Kentucky on the weekends. One day, as he drove me around, I noticed a sign that said Versailles. “Hey, you brought me to France,” I teased. Little did I realize, that there’s a Versailles in Kentucky too. I was caught in a daydream, as we drove. Wouldn’t it be oh-so-lovely to visit Versailles in France together one day? It would be quite the dream.
Am I right? Each year, since I’ve lived in New York, we pack our bags for the journey back home for the holidays, however this year, we’ve got something sneaky up our sleeve. Our journey is two fold! Aside from Thanksgiving, and a long weekend with the fam, we’re traveling to a super sneaky, top secret destination for one, giant adventure. We can’t tell you when, we can’t tell you where, but we are beyond excited, and can’t wait to share.
Do you have a power color? A color that shows your confidence, and makes you feel like a million bucks? You slip on that blazer, zip up that skirt, or throw that statement bag over your shoulder, and it makes a difference in your day right? Ok, so even if you aren’t color crazy, you must have something in your wardrobe, that gives you that “boss babe” vibe. Everyone does.
What makes you feel powerful in your life? What gives you true confidence? A passion that makes you feel whole, and one that you’re proud of. Fitness is a love in my life that gives me a combined strength, power and confidence. It is my time to myself, to work on perfecting my strengths, as well as channeling energy to improve upon my weaknesses.
Ya know the days when you tear your closet apart and come out empty handed? It’s the most frusterating feeling, isn’t it? You search and search but can’t quite come up with options. This often happens to me, because I choose to buy statement pieces, instead of separates. Bad habit.
