I’m a walking glitter-bomb. From the age of of five, I spent my days crawling around on floors of department stores, searching for sequins and beads, as my mom shopped for fancy dresses. When I found them, I saved them and considered them my treasures.
Summer sundresses, picnic blankets, and a polo match? Yes please! Top that off with some Veuve Clicquot bubbly, and you’ve got yourself a perfectly dreamy afternoon at one of NYC’s swakiest events, the Ninth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. The match is held at Liberty State Park, and is a competition between Nacho Figueras’ Team Black Watch and Team Veuve Clicquot. This year, we attended with event with two of our closest friends, Nick and Blair.
Spring is finally here…#celebrationstation! Although, it doesn’t feel like it in NYC, you may be out and about shopping for an upcoming Spring vacation. I’ve been running around the city, doing the same. However, I’ll admit, that I’ve found it quite the challenge to find a great selection of swimwear while shopping the stores this week. It’s definitely been frustrating, as I’m running out of time. Lucky for you, I’ve found a fabulous selection of swimwear pieces for you to order online.
One chilly evening, I peeked out the window to see tiny, white snowflakes, gently falling to the ground. That particular weekend felt chaotic to me, with no sense of slowing down anytime soon. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in projects. I’ll admit that there are days when I have a love/hate relationship with the city. There are moments when it’s loud and crazy, with honking horns and stories that you can’t quite make up. Then there are those sunny Sundays in the fall. The air is crisp, and the leaves burst with color. The city is quiet, and I remember why I fell in love with New York City.

The trends for the upcoming spring season include pastel and neutral color palettes, sleek silhouettes, oversized outerwear pieces, and statement handbags. Lucky for you, one of my favorite online boutiques, Shopbop is having a major sale right now, and I’ve chosen a few fabulous pieces to help inspire your spring wardrobe. You can save up to 25% on your purchases though March 5th by using the code “BIGEVENT16“. Make sure to check out the details on the site. Hope you love these pieces as much as I do. If there’s any specific spring trends you’d love to see, give me a shout out. Lots of love from NYC. xx
What do you pack for an epic adventure on Royal Caribbean’s fancy new ship? I had no idea. I was mind boggled, and entirely overwhelmed with every activity and excursion planned for the trip. Add the Fall theme, but 70 degree New York temps into the mix, and my fall packing plans were thrown for a loop. I hope you read up on my previous posts, chatting about our fancy trip aboard Anthem of the Seas. If not, you can play catch up, here.
Hello printed paradise! I absolutely cannot tear myself away from prints this season. I think it’s safe to say this printed obsession of mine comes around every spring. I realized this last year, when a few girls in my office laughed because I wore, yet again another printed dress to work. I gravitate towards florals, however this brilliant Arena Dress, by Trina Turk instantly caught my eye. The simplicity of the silhouette, allows for the stunning, colorful print to shine.
This weekend’s sunshine in NYC, had me anxiously shopping for new additions to my spring wardrobe. I love sunny afternoons in the city, wandering from store to store through my favorite neighborhoods, with no real agenda but to enjoy the day. Every day of my work week is scheduled basically to the minute, and although I love being busy, I do find peace in quiet moments by myself.
Spring has sprung and it’s time to celebrate! As I peruse my closet, I wonder what I really wore last spring. I’m definitely ready for a whole new, fancy wardrobe and I hope you are too. I took the liberty of finding some pieces that inspire me, and I that I think you’ll love as well. The pastel colors are just perfect for the season. I’m also loving bright brilliant colors as well as intricate prints. I have an accessory obsession, so you’ll find a few fun pieces to play with. Happy shopping, Beauties! xx
In the middle of winter, it’s definitely easy to get caught up wearing the same baggy, cozy pjs, using your basic makeup colors over and over again, until their gone, and spritzing your usual go-to fragrances. There’s no better time than now to splurge on a few pretty little things whether it’s for your love, or to celebrate yourself. Why not? They make you feel special, desired and all around beautiful. You deserve it! So whether you celebrate with your love, your besties, or yourself, make sure to treat yourself like a queen. Here are a few of my favorite Valentine’s finds this season.
