Shades of Rose Gold and Leopard Print For Fall

September has begun, and New York Fashion Week is upon us. While the weather is still warm, I am transitioning my wardrobe from a bright, summer color palette, to beautiful, jeweled toned looks for fall. Black is an easy option when the weather gets cooler, however I live for color.

It’s fun to change up your colors and fabric textures each season. This fall, I’m loving metallic shades, combined with a pop of color. I fell in love with this rose gold, leather like, Pleated Skirt, and paired it with a chiffon, Leopard Print Blouse from Bloomingdale’s’ Aqua Collection. The neutral colors of the blouse coordinate with the skirt, however it still has a pop of a fig color as well. Whenever my outfit has a small pop of color, I choose to accessorize with that same color. It completes the outfit and creates a finished look. Keep in mind, you don’t want to go overboard with the same color, however accents are perfect.

I accessorized my fall inspired outfit, with the fabulous Brahmin Duxbury Clutch in Fig Normandy. The color is bold, brilliant, and perfect for fall. It transitions easily from my summer outfits, to my fall wardrobe. I can pair it with neutral tones, or shades of brown, such as chestnut or chocolate. If you have not already checked out Brahmin’s Fall Handbag Collection, you should definitely do so! They’ve designed some incredible handbags for fall. The gorgeous Mavis Sandals are suede, with a golden hue, by Michael Kors. They are crystallized with shimmering gold stones, and they compliment the rose gold skirt perfectly. I just can’t pass up crystallized shoes.

My jewelry works with my outfit as well. I’m wearing a delicate necklace (similar here), stacks of bracelets (similar here, and here), rose gold earrings (similar style here), and my favorite, two toned watch (similar style here). Styling jewelry is all about balance. If you are wearing stacks of bracelets, then go with a delicate necklace or earrings, and vice versa. You want the jewelry to stand out and sparkle, but not look too heavy.

The snakeskin, studded, “Steve Bracelet” was a sweet gift from my good friend and fellow blogger, Leslie Marin of Bleeker and Spring. This bracelet will be sold in her online shop, which will be launching soon.

I hope we’ve inspired you to begin building your fancy fall wardrobe. I challenge you to play with color, take risks with texture, and have fun creating your new look in the process. We will keep you posted for all of your upcoming fashion updates with the best of New York Fashion Week’s runway shows and parties, so tune in and don’t miss out!
