You’re most likely daydreaming of cozy slippers, mistletoe, and holiday cookies. Me too. Therefore, I’m here to save you from your Monday blues, and distract you with some retail therapy. Let’s face it, holiday gift giving can take a toll on your fancy little wallet, and there’s no better time than to swoop up some holiday steals than Cyber Monday. Must See – Louis Vuitton VVV Exhibit in NYC

We are closing out Thanksgiving weekend, and our holiday spent in NYC was oh-so-fabulous. It really was. It felt, quiet, cozy, restful, yet adventurous at the same time. To escape the touristy Thanksgiving crowds, we headed downtown, to check out the Louis Vuitton VVV Exhibit, which was nothing short of amazing. To our surprise, it was the best time to go. It wasn’t crowded. It was just perfect.

A Few Favorites to Support on Small Business Saturday

It’s the day after Black Friday, and I hope you saved your pretty pennies! For what, you ask? Small Business Saturday! Sure, you can walk into a fancy department store, overwhelmed by racks of products. Maybe, just maybe someone will help you, or smile at you, or ignore you which is often the case. Your money will go to brand that sees your purchase as a number or percentage, on a black and white spreadsheet. Yes, your purchase still matters to that brand, but when you shop small businesses, you support their dream.

They’ll remember your face, your conversation, and you’ll remember that purchase. Small business owners, wear many hats, and they give it all they’ve got. They have to, to be successful. They add flavor and style to their brands. I love purchasing something that was handcrafted, and made with love, while having a conversation with that same person about their own dream, and how they got their start. It’s inspiring to say the least. As a small business owner myself, I’ve designed jewelry for many years, and I know what it means to really work for it. It isn’t easy. But, rewarding? Definately! Cue the Macy’s Thanksgiving day floats, and strike up the band. The holiday season is just around the corner, and if you plan on visiting New York City, you may be searching for some fab places and spaces to make your holiday season a bit more festive. While I love escaping the busy city, I’ll admit that I’ve had a blast during our rare holidays spent in NYC. The city comes alive in the fall, and the leaves in Central Park turn every color of the rainbow. The chill in the air is just right, and as much as I’d rather be on a beach, it really is beautiful here. As the holidays approach, the tree is lit in Rockefeller Center, and the city turns into one, glimmering disco ball, as twinkling holiday lights line the street. It really is a site to see. So, if you plan on sipping your pumpkin spiced lattes, here are my holiday sightseeing recommendations for you (make sure to wear your walking boots and your coziest coat). I’ve included traditional touristy spots, as well as some of my favorite non-touristy favorites for you to peruse.

It arrived in the mail and it was perfection. I slipped it on, and I felt like a million bucks. From the moment my doorman handed me the package, I just couldn’t take it it off. It was love at first sight. If I could sleep in this pretty little number, I would. It’s the first dress to have stolen my heart since “Norma,” my wedding gown.

Tee Time at President’s Cup Tournament

There’s a first time for everything, right? That being said, I spent Sunday afternoon at my very first golf tournament. We were lucky enough to be invited to the President’s Cup Golf Tournament, which took place on Liberty State Golf Course in New Jersey. I was pumped. I’ll admit, I do pass up the golf channel on tv, and I’ve never actually played the game, aside from mini golf and a few shots at the driving range, but I do have high hopes of learning some day! I think it’s an amazing lifetime sport.
