We recently took a quick trip to Vegas on vaca, and I was beyond excited. The summer sunshine was calling my name. Since we traveled right before Memorial Day weekend, the temps still weren’t warm in New York. We always want what we can’t have, right? Exactly.
Hello Beauties! Today, I’m channeling my inner Malibu Barbie, in a hot (and I mean hot) pink romper. I was recently speaking with a friend and complimenting her bright yellow dress, when she told me that the color yellow is all she had been choosing this season. While we were chatting, we agreed that every season we tend to gravitate to a certain color. I realized that my season’s color is hot pink. It’s funny though, because I haven’t loved it in the past, but for some reason I can’t resist the bright pop of pink.
Hello printed paradise! I absolutely cannot tear myself away from prints this season. I think it’s safe to say this printed obsession of mine comes around every spring. I realized this last year, when a few girls in my office laughed because I wore, yet again another printed dress to work. I gravitate towards florals, however this brilliant Arena Dress, by Trina Turk instantly caught my eye. The simplicity of the silhouette, allows for the stunning, colorful print to shine.
Last week’s sunny, Sunday afternoon was perfection. I did the usual; woke up, hit the gym, and got ready for our usual Sunday outing through Central Park. The most amazing part was that the park was bursting with color that day. Everything is in bloom, and the park was buzzing with people, kiddies, and picnics complete with colorful balloons. There are days when the park feels like a complete celebration and Sunday was one of them.
This weekend’s sunshine in NYC, had me anxiously shopping for new additions to my spring wardrobe. I love sunny afternoons in the city, wandering from store to store through my favorite neighborhoods, with no real agenda but to enjoy the day. Every day of my work week is scheduled basically to the minute, and although I love being busy, I do find peace in quiet moments by myself.
Pop. Clink. Fizz! We are poppin’ bottles and celebrating 2 years since the launch of Sleepless in Sequins today! Oh, what a two years it’s been. With hundreds of styles featured, numerous events supporting our favorite brands, runway shows, and the gift of working with my very best friend and husband, I feel lucky for the experiences we’ve shared over the past two years.
Do you have a favorite outfit or style you wear on repeat? Mine is Yumi Kim’s Liz Romper. Thankfully for me, Yumi Kim makes this style in a million different gorgeous prints. So no, I don’t exactly wear one romper on repeat. I have a closetful of Liz Rompers to choose from. Believe me when I tell you, that you’ll fall in love with this style and will buy every single print as well.
Hello Beauties! I hope you had a wonderful Easter/Passover holiday this past weekend. I was lucky enough to travel to St. Petersberg, Florida with Grant, to celebrate my sister’s 30th birthday bash. We had multiple events planned from fancy dinners, champagne sunsets on the beach, pool days, celebratory brunches, tennis matches, etc. You name it, we did it. In true Sleepless in Sequins fashion, every single day was a celebration, and my sister loved every moment. I knew that packing would be a challenge, with so many fabulous summer options. The weather here in NYC has still been cold, so I could barely wait to rescue my spring looks from my closet.
I’m a girl in love with color, and I’m currently counting down the days to ditch every black outfit in my wardrobe. I cannot wait to sail through spring with punchy, vibrant colors and flirty silhouettes. You’ll rarely see me choose basic styles or colors, however every once in awhile, a piece comes along, captures my heart, and I just can’t manage to live my life without it.
Several new styles have caught my eye for Spring, and the midi skirt is one for them. The midi skirt, is a full, mid length skirt, which lays a few inches below the knees. I have to admit, when I first saw the style, I was hesitant. I didn’t think I could pull off the look since I’m a shortie. I’ve seen these skirts in every store, designed with multiple colors and prints. Many of my friends have been wearing them and I’ve admired the look on other bloggers as well.
