Last week, on a beautiful summer evening, we were invited to Brahmin’s Wearable Art Party held at Hotel Giraffe’s rooftop in Midtown, Manhattan. Fashion bloggers Grace Atwood, and Jess Ann Kirby hosted the event. Also in attendance were Jessie Artigue, Cara Kovacs, Jessica Sturdy, and Lisa Rosado.
The idea behind the event was to showcase Brahmin’s gorgeous Fall 2014 Collection as wearable art. The handbags were absolutely stunning. They were displayed, as a museum exhibition. The deep, rich colors and textures of the Fall bags were breathtaking. I couldn’t decide which bag I loved best. Colorful, art inspired cocktails were served throughout the evening, as well as delicious hors d’oeuvres.
The Wearable Art theme of the party was coincidental to me. As a fashion blogger and stylist, I’ve always seen each of Brahmin’s handbags as a piece of art. The individual styles have a personality, with each color, texture, shape, and hardware detailing being truly unique. I own several Brahmin bags, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best brands on the market. Their bags are luxurious, stylish, and sophisticated. I am often stopped by women complimenting the Brahmin styles that I carry, and requesting information on the brand.
My favorite styles for the the Fall 2014 season are the Large Duxbury Satchel, Duxbury Weekender, Lincoln Satchel, Cecelia Shoulder Bag, and the Vivian Dome Satchel. I loved the brilliant Turkish Blue and Vermillion colored leathers used for several of these styles. Brahmin designed their collection which an emphasis on animal print, as well as some fur detailing on the bags.
We spent the evening mingling with fashionistas, bloggers, as well as Brahmin’s incredible team. They truly make us feel like family. I can’t wait to create my wish list for Brahmin’s new Fall Collection. I will definitely be styling some of these beauties for New York’s upcoming Fashion Week.
