On of my favorite events during New York Fashion Week, was Vogue’s Runway Retreat event. It was a fabulous networking lounge, which was held at Bar Boulud, right across from the fashion tents at Lincoln Center. At the event, I mingled with fashionistas, bloggers, and the team members of the fashion brands which partnered with Vogue for the event. I sipped on champagne and nibbled on delicious bites, as I learned more about each one of the brands that featured their products at the event.
Last week, on a beautiful summer evening, we were invited to Brahmin’s Wearable Art Party held at Hotel Giraffe’s rooftop in Midtown, Manhattan. Fashion bloggers Grace Atwood, and Jess Ann Kirby hosted the event. Also in attendance were Jessie Artigue, Cara Kovacs, Jessica Sturdy, and Lisa Rosado.
The idea behind the event was to showcase Brahmin’s gorgeous Fall 2014 Collection as wearable art. The handbags were absolutely stunning. They were displayed, as a museum exhibition. The deep, rich colors and textures of the Fall bags were breathtaking. I couldn’t decide which bag I loved best. Colorful, art inspired cocktails were served throughout the evening, as well as delicious hors d’oeuvres.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening now, and they have some fabulous deals on gorgeous fall handbags. The colored, textured leathers used used to create these styles are incredible. The size of the handbags are perfect, with plenty of storage space for a girl on the “go.” Here are my top 10 favorite fall handbags from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I hope to give you some style inspiration for your latest and greatest fall accessories. The sale ends Sunday, August 3rd. Happy shopping, Beauties!
New York Fashion Week, Fall Winter 2014 season has officially come to a close. We had a busy week, covering runway shows, attending fashion events, and parties. Fashion Week is my absolute favorite time of year. The creation and production of each show always amazes me. I truly admire the designers in my industry and the collections they create each season. As fashion week comes to an end, these designers further ignite my passion to design and create my own jewelry collection. For me, each show is a story with a theme and a backdrop. The collections are coordinated with color palettes, prints, silhouettes, and coordinated with hair and makeup to complete each look.
